COVID-19 Information

UPDATE: October 17, 2020

Hello Friends.  Yesterday morning, Hotel McGrath was notified that a guest had tested positive for COVID-19 while they were staying with us.

Under the guidance of the State of Alaska's Health department, we have closed the hotel for cleaning and sanitizing and expect to reopen on Monday, October 19.   Our team members who came in contact with the COVID-19 patient immediately began their 14 day quarantine.  Our restaurant and espresso shop will remain closed until further notice.  If you are planning a visit to McGrath, please contact Jenni at (907) 574-0363 to review your meal options.

Thank you for your understanding and we wish you and your family wellness and comfort.

Hotel McGrath

UPDATE: October 15, 2020

McGrath is open for business!

We still have no known cases of COVID-19 in McGrath and will continue to be Covid conscious by practicing social distancing and requiring that masks be worn in the common areas of our buildings. Our restaurant is open and all indoor dining areas have been reserved for our out-of-town guests.

Frequent and thorough cleaning and disinfecting will continue.

UPDATE: March 22, 2020

Although there have been no known cases of COVID-19 in Alaska's Upper Kuskokwim region, out of concern for our guests, team members and our small community, we are temporarily reserving our accommodations for essential travelers.  These essential travelers will be comprised of guests providing necessary services to our community, such as healthcare providers and those that keep our infrastructure on-line.

While the main hotel building will remain closed, the suites located in our 5-plex will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to the arrival of any essential traveler.  This includes the hallway, laundry facilities and the entryway.

Our restaurant, espresso shop and gift shop are temporarily closed.

If you are planning a trip to McGrath, please give us a call so that we can best prepare for your wellness and for the wellness of our community.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates accordingly in an effort to reassure you that we are taking every precautionary measure to ensure the safety of our guests and team members.

Thank you for your ongoing support and shared efforts to help keep our community strong and healthy.

Stay well.
